About Mount Whittier Motel

line

The Mount Whittier Motel boasts a rich history, once known as Waddington’s Camps featuring separate cabins, including the original house still standing today, estimated to be around 120 years old. Over time, it transitioned to the Crystal Pond Courtel before adopting its current name. In its heyday, it was a hotspot for skiers, located just 3 miles from the Whittier Ski field.

In January 2005, amidst the frigid cold, we assumed ownership of the motel, which, let's say, had a "rustic" charm. A year later, we embarked on an extensive renovation project, gutting the interiors, and overhauling the plumbing and electrical systems to transform it into the comfortable and pristine establishment it is today.

Our motel has garnered a loyal following over the years, with guests returning for two decades, each with their own fascinating tales to share. Generations of families who frequented Lake Ossipee and White Lake State Park since childhood now bring their own children, drawn to the region's natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle.

We eagerly await your arrival and extend a warm invitation to experience the cozy comfort and cleanliness of our motel, where you can unwind and revel in the splendor of the Lakes Region and White Mountains.
